On Tuesday, July 14, 2009, the United States Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit, dissolved a federal injunction against the Illinois Parental Notice of Abortion Act (750 ILCS 70/1 et seq.).  Illinois Supreme Court Rule 303A now effectively governs the filing of petitions for judicial waiver of parental notice in the Illinois Circuit Courts.

The Seventeenth Circuit Court has established a procedure for hearing the expedited and confidential proceedings for filings and appeals under the Illinois Parental Notice of Abortion Act effective immediately.
