Judicial Clerkship Opportunities Print E-mail

The Seventeenth Judicial Circuit Court accepts applications each Fall, Spring and Summer, for Judicial Clerk positions from current law students, at both the Winnebago County Courthouse in Rockford, Illinois and the Boone County Courthouse in Belvidere, Illinois. Exact duration and hours per week are based on applicant’s availability. Applications are due August 1, December 1 and April 1.

These clerkships offer the opportunity to observe and participate in the legal process while developing an insight into the judicial process.  Working with the judiciary provides a unique learning experience for anyone preparing to enter the legal profession.  These are unpaid, voluntary clerkships.
